How do I choose a package size?
Each package is named for its recommended headcount. Pick the one closest to your guest list, and use our free Event Space Planner if you'd like to see how the tables and dance floor fit under the tent.
Do I need a permit for a tent in Hamilton?
The City of Hamilton requires a building permit when a tent, or a group of tents not more than 3 m apart, covers more than 60 m² (about 646 sq ft). A 20×20 (about 37 m²) or 20×30 (about 56 m²) is under that size; a 20×40 (about 74 m²) or larger is over it. Every site is different, so please confirm with the City (City of Hamilton – Tents).
Can I pick up a tent package?
No. Tent packages are delivery and installation only. Customer pickup is not available. Setup is usually a few days before your event and teardown the day after, subject to weather and availability.
How much is the deposit?
A 25% deposit is required on all bookings. It's non-refundable, except for a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of confirmation and the event is more than 2 weeks away. The remaining 75% balance and a refundable security deposit of 25% of the total rental fee are due 5 days before your rental starts (2 weeks before for rentals over $2,000). The security deposit is refunded within 7 business days after all items are returned in good condition, less any deductions for damage (unless covered by the Rental Protection Plan), loss or additional charges.
Is there a Rental Protection Plan?
The Rental Protection Plan is optional and non-refundable: 10% of the total rental fee, available at booking. It covers accidental damage during normal use, excluding negligence, misuse, theft, loss, or intentional damage.
